On June 11th, Code w/ Claude Extended was held in Tokyo. It’s a global series of developer-focused events centered on Claude Code, and Tokyo was one of the stops on the tour.

My company was also hosting AI Requirement Definition Summit 2026 on the same day, so my attendance was limited to the morning keynote and office tour.

The Morning Keynote

From 08:30 – 09:45, Boris Cherny, Head of Claude Code at Anthropic, spoke on the Founder Stage.

The Office Tour

After the keynote, I joined a tour of Anthropic’s office.

Time Was Limited

After the keynote and office tour, I had another commitment and had to leave. The afternoon workshops and networking sessions went on without me.

Having the Claude Code team visit Japan is rare, and I was sorry to miss the rest of the program. That said, I’m grateful to have been able to participate in the morning.
