This article introduces the Pre Order add-on that enables CS-Cart to handle product pre-orders.
Prerequisites
An acquaintance consulted me about wanting to move away from managing pre-order orders using Excel for their CS-Cart e-commerce site operations. It seemed like installing the Pre Order add-on would solve this, so I’ll introduce what I verified on the demo site.

- Can display Preorder Price in the price section
- Stock availability shows as PREORDER

There didn’t seem to be any Pre Order specific items.

You can confirm that Preorder is displayed in the Status section.

In the Preorder section, you can configure all the pre-order product information.
Thoughts
With all these features for $39.00, I think it’s wise to purchase and install the add-on rather than handling Pre Orders through analog operations.
